Joining +SD is simple. You must register to the forums, and then ask to become a Recruit by posting your request- place it under the Requests heading in the Governance and Administration section. The Council will vote on your request. A majority vote by the Council brings it before the Leader to either accept or reject it.
If we approve your joining, and if you decide to stay with us, you may request a promotion to Veteran, but not before 20 days has transpired, by posting you request to the forums. The same process as mentioned above takes place, only this time the vote must pass by a 2/3 margin- then it comes before the Leader to either accept or reject it.
If you decide to further your career with us, you may request a final promotion to Elite, but not before 40 days has transpired since joining. This step would bring you into a full-membership with SpecialDetachment. The same process as mentioned above takes place, only this time the vote must pass by a 3/4 margin- then it comes before the Leader to either accept or reject it. Further promotions may involve ranking and promotion to the Council if a vacancy is present.
